I experience darkness; it can feel overwhelming. However, the night does not last, it cannot last. Darkness can not overcome light ... ever!
I love the idea that singing (whether that is actual singing or doing the thing that makes your heart sing) is so associated with ushering in joy. That’s why I painted this blackbird singing at dawn because, after crying at night, the joy comes in the morning.
‘Sing’
Today, more than ever I have a desire to ‘sing’ my new song, to push away the darkness and welcome the new day.
