This is ‘Shelter’. It is a painting I started when my wonderful Uncle John became ill. I used it to pray for him and others who were suffering due to coronavirus. I wanted to pray/paint GOD’s provision of shelter and place to run.
Sadly, my Uncle passed away. I couldn’t go to the funeral due to lockdown so this was my tribute to him.
I am thankful for his love of God and his sharing of his faith with my mum ... and therefore me.
It is influenced by Psalm 91:1-4
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
